Lightweight Raptor "BLACK KITE"
Engineered with a lightweight design, the Black Kite Motor delivers exceptional efficiency and formidable power output that outperforms its peer products.
With a size of less than 1m³, the Black Kite is only 1/5 the size of an induction motor with equivalent power. Weighing in at mere 2.2 tons—1/2 to 1/3 the weight of similar permanent magnet motors of major international brand names.
This "Raptor" enables and reclaims immense space and payload potential, transforming any vehicle into a lean, aggressive "Black Kite."
The Black Kite Motor is capable of sustaining high torque and stable power over long durations. With a rated power of 1.4 MW, it ensures reliable torque delivery once it enters the constant power range. Despite its compact 1m³ frame, it can unleash 11,000 Nm of rated torque and a peak torque of 13,000 Nm. Rigorously validated on an internal motor test bench, the Black Kite is the ultimate power core for premium yachts and 10,000-ton vessels.

Top-tier in Asia 1.4MW Motor Test Bench
To fully test marine electric vehicles and unleash the potential of the Black Kite Motor, CPTC has invested in a 1.4MW motor back-to-back test bench, meeting the requirements of the shipbuilding industry.
Unlike standard industrial platforms, this facility can precisely simulate the diverse electrical and dynamic operating conditions of 10,000-ton vessels. Connected to the largest charger in Taiwan(1.4MW), 5.7 MW ESS, and a set of cutting-edge drives, this test bench enables CPTC to conduct FAT(Factory Acceptance Test) and allows us to derive and evaluate various solutions to enhance stability and safety.
The platform’s capabilities are comparable to the U.S. Navy’s Philadelphia Land-Based Test Site (LBTS). It is designed to test cutting-edge integrated power and propulsion systems (such as the Integrated Power System, IPS) and advanced High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) grids for the most sophisticated naval and commercial vessels. This facility marks a significant strategic advantage for CPTC to penetrate the global marine electric vehicle market.
